Multiple Os

The science of becoming orgasmic, experiencing orgasms, and having multiple orgasms.

“Super” Orgasms: A typology or a descriptor of a typology?

Based on descriptions of super orgasms reported by clitoris-owners and penis-owners, individuals tend to describe super orgasms as subjectively different, more powerful, or “more” in some way than that particular individuals’ other or average orgasms.

I hypothesize that each orgasm typology might have its so-called super orgasm, perhaps based on each individual’s rating system of their own experience. Perhaps instead of the “traditional” and “super” dichotomy, people can create their own more particular, non-gender-dysphoric classification or rating system. Sometimes it is defined by the experience, a partner, a community like the Aneros community, or a researcher.

Sometimes it’s synonymous with the Big O, although the Big O also pertains to orgasms in general. For some individuals, super orgasms correlate with–or equal–a type or subtype of orgasm, status orgasmus, blended orgasms, squirting orgasms, non-ejaculatory orgasms, prostate orgasms, anal orgasms, full-body orgasms, or partial body orgasms.

While there may be overall trends in penis-owners and clitoris-owners, individuals’ definitions and perceptions of “super” may mean entirely different things along psychological, subjective, psychoactive, or spiritual lens dimensions. From articles I’ve read, it seems like it is based on intensity, type, combination, or number of orgasms for both clitoris owners and penis-owners (herehere, here, here, here, and here). Some have described super orgasms associated with solo and partner experience, toy use, drug use, and more. Intensity is not always considered as a classifier of typology (e.g., here). Some individuals might never describe their orgasms as “super.”

For penis-owners, sometimes a super orgasm does not involve ejaculation (See here.). When it does involve ejaculation, it is considered by some to be a traditional super orgasm.

Orgasm as a complex phenomenon can be very difficult to express. Every orgasm feels different and occurs under different circumstances in a body inside an environment different from yesterday and different from tomorrow. Every individual’s experience and interpretation are different.

What is a super orgasm to you?
